History of Orlando Airport
Orlando Airport started at first as a military air field known as Pinecastle and was an auxiliary air field to the Orlando Army Air Base, which is today known as Orlando Executive Airport. In the 1960s the air field opened to civil flights and in 1975 Orlando International Airport became a civil only airport.
