Lisbon, Portugal: Jazz em Agosto, 1 - 11. 8. 2019

Vacations are for your body and soul. And the letter will relax some more with the sounds of jazz. Jazz has always been also the carrier of change and new movements and this year festival will open with the guitarist Marc Ribot, who believes all changes in the world carry their own soundtrack. Enjoy the new sounds in the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation which is placed in a lovely green Garden in the center of Lisbon.

Heraklion, Crete: 1. 8. – 30. 9. 2019

During August there are many events on Crete organized by local municipalities. Nikos Kazantzakis Open-Air Theatre and the Manos Hatzidakis Open-Air Theatre host two months of Summer Festival with great music, theatre, dance and cinema performances. If you are staying on Crete more then a week, you can enjoy the variety of events from artists from many countries.


Olbia, Sardinia: Calici di Stelle, 10. – 11. 8. 2019

Wine lovers will enjoy this Festival the most. It takes place on the night of Sardinian Lorenzo (10 August) in Sennori where you can taste the fine wine produced by the local wineries.

You can pamper your taste buds with other delicacies and the typical gastronomy of the Sardinian tradition while listening to great music on the streets.


Pachino, Sicily: Festa del Pomodoro di Pachino IGP, 12. – 14. 8. 2019

Italy is home to these deep red, plum-type and wonderfully tasty tomatoes. And each year on Sicily in the small town of Pachino in the southeast corner, they throw a celebration for this red treasure. The program of this “Tomatoes Festival” includes numerous sporting events, music and cabaret shows, performances by street artists and tastings, which will enliven the days of the numerous visitors. 

Dubrovnik, Croatia: every Mon, Wed, Thu till 31. 10. 2019

When visiting Dubrovnik, one of the best Mediterranean destination famous for its distinctive Old town, historical city walls and scenic views, you should take your time and enjoy a candle-lit classical concert in the surrounding of the beautiful St. Saviour’s Church. Three times a week at 21:00 you can enjoy a performance from different ensembles.
