Couples holidays in Keflavik– Iceland

The great outdoors is the no1 reason you have to visit Iceland with your romantic partner. Even if he or she is a couch potato, this symphony of nature will bedazzle him or her. Gushing geysers, glittering glaciers, ice-covered volcanos, and geothermal lagoons are out of this world. But there are also people. Locals will disarm you with a smile. Reykjavik is a city bursting with culture. Live music, handcrafts, and local cuisine have to be on your bucket list. One of our favorite places, only 25 km from Keflavik Airport is the Blue Lagoon. In black-lava field lies a geothermal pool. It's Icelandic version of spa, but caution; you need to book it weeks in advance. The water contains mineral salts, blue-green algae, fine silica mud, and is completely renewed every 48 hours. For a new smooth and youthful look, this is a must.

Couples holidays - Martinique

Martinique is one of our favorite islands. Just hire a car and start exploring the "Martinique Jungle." Let's get straight into it. Beaches of Martinique. You can not miss with awesome beaches that Martinique has to offer. It's like in paradise, white sand with crystal clear water and are rarely crowded, so you can enjoy and relax. And there's food. Food, here is the thing, mix seafood with french touch and you get a perfect blend of both worlds that your taste buds will be thankful for. Martinique is called The Island of Flowers. “Nomen est Omen,” they say. And this for sure is true for this petite Caribbean island. Its hilly territory is home to many trees and lianas.

Not sure which beach you should visit first? Here are our suggestions:

  • Grande Anse is mostly known for its Ti Sable beach restaurant. Visit this beach to lounge in comfy chairs and enjoy some cocktails, and at the sunset, you can enjoy a nice dinner in a fashionable restaurant.
  • Anse Grand Macabou is a classic wild beach on the Atlantic coast. It offers you white sand and a shade from surrounding coconut trees. Can you imagine anything better?
  • Petite Anse is a small, quiet beach on the road toward Le Diamant. This beach is quiet and peaceful even on weekends.
  • Anse Tartane is the biggest beach in Martinique. It’s a beautiful natural attraction, which you'll find on the North East coast of Martinique.
  • Anse Dufour is on the South West coast of the island. There is also a restaurant right on the water, so if you don't want to leave Anse Dufour at all, it's worth a try.

Reunion’s culture is as diverse as its nature. Here you can see the influence of African, Indian, Creole and even Chinese culture. It’s indeed a melting pot of cultures. The differences here are a source of richness and are expressed through architecture, dance, music, and cuisine. To discover island’s multicultural history, you need to visit the Natural History Museum and Musee de Villele in Saint-Giles. Before you start exploring volcanos, visit La Cite du Volcan. And last but not least visit Saint Paul market where you can dive into Island’s local products. Reunion’s gastronomic scene is smoking hot. Local specialties alone are good enough reason to fly there. We are talking about bouchon, samosas and galette de manioc – harmonious marriage of diverse cultures on a plate. Another interesting thing about Reunion are its picnics. Picnics are the Creole way of life and can be organized all around the island: So, when in Reunion, do like the Creoles do and have a romantic picnic. Couples holidays in Cancun– Mexico

Cancun is located on the Yukatan Peninsula in the Mexican state Quintana Roco. Cancun is also called the nest of snakes, but ironically it's hard to find here any snakes (or mosquitos, to be precise) because they have driven out the animals that might have annoyed the tourists. Besides miles of sandy beaches and turquoise waters, Cancun offers all sorts of activities.

Cancun

It can be a unique cultural experience if you're interested in the Mayan civilisation. Many believed that the world would end in 2012 because their calendar ended on the 21st of December, 2012. We're still here, while Mayans are long gone. But their culture is alive,  truly intriguing, and the Museo Maya de Cancun is well worth a visit.  For more history and culture you need to visit El Rey Ruins. It's cheap, but if you bring your camera, you'll have to pay triple the price.

Tuscany is always a great idea for a romantic trip. Unjustifiably overlooked San Gimignano is one of the jewels in Tuscany's crown. If you're a romantic soul, San Gimignano is just made for you. It will evoke your emotions, flavors, and sensations with its fairytale towers and great local wine. Sit over in one of many cafes at the main square and enjoy a bottle of Chianti.
